  • NEWS INTERNATIONAL is ditching The Sun's Saturday TV guide, TV Mag, in favour of a glossy offering, yet to be named, aimed primarily at women. The magazine, which will be launched later in the year by Sun Sunday editor and associated editor Jane Johnson, hopes to display more high-profile advertisers, rather than direct response ads. It will include lifestyle pieces and a redesigned TV listings section, as well as a celebrity cover similar to the style of Fabulous, the News of the Worl women's magazine. 30 Jul 2010 00:00
  • BLACKROCK is seeking an agency to handle its entire UK media relations and corporate and financial communications business, rumoured to be worth upwards of£250,000 a year, and has contacted around 12 agencies to pitch. Current retained agency MAITLAND, and FD who works on BlackRock's BGI account are thought to be included in the invited agencies. The account includes BlackRock's total product range across its own brand and BGI, and the winning agencywill handle positioning and financial and corporate media relations in the UK. 30 Jul 2010 00:00
  • FACEBOOK has rolled out a peer-to-peer question-and-answer service, akin to Yahoo Answers. Facebook Questions allows the social network's members to ask questions to its 500m strong community. The questions will be posted to all Facebook users and are public, so are visible to anyone on the internet. However, questions will be able to be posted to just friends of the user, and can be tagged with subjects to get answers from people with relevant expertise. 30 Jul 2010 00:00
